Syngonium White Butterfly
Syngonium White Butterfly
The Syngonium White Butterfly thrives in consistently moist soils, therefore it is crucial to water it in a manner that allows the soil to dry. Unlike most plants, this species does not follow the typical "little and often" watering method. Rather, growers should determine the specific water needs of their plant and adjust accordingly with the changing seasons. During winter, the time between watering should be extended to account for the slower drying process. To replicate its natural habitat, the Syngonium White Butterfly prefers well-drained soil with high levels of organic matter. An ideal potting mix consists of half ocean forest, quarter coco coir, and quarter charcoal and pumice soil, with the addition of worm compost for soil enhancement. Alternatively, all-purpose potting soil can also be used. For proper nutrition, apply half-strength indoor plant liquid fertilizer once a month, or use slow-release fertilizer or worm castings/compost in early spring.
