Schefflera Arboricola Bushy thrives in bright, indirect light. During summer, place the potted plant in a location with ample light, but not direct sunlight, such as under a patio cover. If the plant becomes leggy or floppy, it may be an indication of insufficient light. Avoid placing Schefflera in direct, full sunlight as it can lead to leaf burn. When grown indoors, use a well-draining, rich potting soil. For outdoor growth, a slightly acidic, sandy loam soil is recommended but avoid over-watered or waterlogged areas. Water regularly during the growing season and mist the leaves frequently. Allow the soil to dry out before giving the plant a deep watering. Reduce watering during winter months. Overwatering can be fatal for Schefflera, so watch for yellowing and dropped leaves as a sign of over-watering. This tropical plant requires high humidity.
