Love Palm
Love Palm
This sturdy palm thrives in low to moderate bright light, but should never be placed in direct sunlight. Watering is easy, as this small plant needs to be kept moist during hot summers, but should not be over-watered. To check if watering is needed, simply lift the pot and gauge its weight - if it feels light, it needs water, if it feels heavy, it doesn't. During cold winter months, watering should be done less frequently. In spring and summer, it is recommended to use a general soluble plant fertiliser or foliar feed every 2 weeks. Once the palm has outgrown its pot and gained height, it should be repotted into a slightly larger pot using high-quality potting soil. Keep an eye out for common pests like spider mites, which thrive in dry and hot conditions. Increasing humidity with a spray bottle or by placing the plant in a bathroom can help prevent infestations.
