Euphorbia Turicalli
Euphorbia Turicalli
This succulent has multiple branches and can reach a height of 3-5m, though it often grows into a medium shrub. Old specimens have grey, rough bark with longitudinal scars, while the cylindrical branches are smooth, glabrous-green, and 5-8 mm in diameter. The plant is free of spines and produces a large amount of toxic latex if injured. Small and short-lived leaves occur on thin, pendant, pale green twigs that are arranged alternately or in groups, giving the plant a rounded appearance. The tiny yellow flowers, which can be easily missed, are found at the tips of the branches. It also produces small fruits that release black seeds when they split. Euphorbia tirucalli attracts butterflies, bees, and other insects with its yellow flowers, making it a beneficial plant for wildlife and ecology. This plant requires moderate watering and low maintenance, and is best suited for open, sunny areas with rocky conditions, such as rock gardens.
