Agave Angustifolia

Agave angustifolia is a short-stemmed or stemless evergreen succulent plant with an ornamental appearance. It can reach heights of 100-200cm tall and 150-200cm in diameter, with 35-65 leaves that can grow up to 60-90cm long and 4-10cm wide. Its growth habit is straight and compact, making it a prized species. After several years of growth, Agave angustifolia produces a flowering stem that can reach 2.5-5 meters tall, producing seeds and "bulbils" that fall to the ground to grow. This species is also used for food, fiber, fuel, traditional medicines, and even kitchen utensils.
